Why we are currently focusing on nursing staff

In Germany, the need for qualified nursing staff is steadily growing – especially in nursing homes, hospitals, and outpatient services. At the same time, there is a shortage of staff.

To sustainably address this development, Germany and Kenya concluded a bilateral agreement in September 2024. The goal is to ensure fair, regulated, and secure recruitment of Kenyan nursing staff for the German labor market.

This agreement creates new opportunities – but also clear rules:
 

• Only qualified nursing staff with language skills

• Recognizable qualifications

• A structured, transparent path to Germany

That’s why we initially specialized Wendo on this target group.
Because this is precisely where realistic, legal and promising opportunities currently exist.

We believe in honest support, not empty promises.

At Wendo, everyone who wants to learn German for their own reasons is welcome – be it for personal development, professional goals, or simply out of interest.

We are currently deliberately focusing on nursing professionals, as they have the most realistic chances of coming to Germany through recognized programs.

For other professional groups, we cannot promise entry or job placement at this time – and we do not want to raise false hopes.

Our vision:

In the future, we would like to gradually support people from other professional fields as well—e.g., in IT, skilled trades, technology, logistics, or gastronomy.
